〔 CELESTIALS 〕

WHAT ARE THEY?
Celestials are the fundamental opposites of Demons. They are skyward beings who embody the natural and cosmic forces like storms, light, or even the concept of abundance. Countless aspects of creation may find their expression in a Celestial’s form.
While most appear humanoid, a Celestial can come in any shape or size (usually determined by their nature). This diversity of form is matched by a singular, immutable truth: Celestials and Demons cannot touch without burning each other.IDENTIFYING A CELESTIAL
In their true state, all Celestials share two unmistakable traits:

  • A bluish complexion — ranging from pale sky to deep midnight.

  • Golden constellation patterns unique to the individual.

Their voices are equally distinctive. A Celestial can expand their tone into three to seven-part harmonies, causing the Honmoon to pulse with silver light. This mastery allows for extraordinary precision in manipulating the Honmoon, enabling them to:

  • Tear holes in space to form stardust portals.

  • Treat the Honmoon as a solid surface to walk upon or shape.

CELESTIALS VS DEMONS
If Demons are bound to their shame by Gwi-Ma, then Celestials are powered by pride. They maintain their connection to Heaven by cultivating a consistent sense of pride in something. It can be literally anything so long as it is lived truly. Keeping one's Celestial pride is a difficult balancing act. Their connection either erodes completely or warps. Losing this balance is referred to as a “Fall”. Many Celestials fear Falling because of the immense physical and emotional pain it brings. Fallen are deeply affected by the radical changes that occur, with some comparing it to losing a limb or an organ.

〔 THE FALLEN 〕

  • When a Celestial loses their pride, their connection to Heaven is severed and they become a Faded Fallen. Their patterns disappear, their powers wane away and their touch no longer burns Demons. A Faded exists in a hollow state, vulnerable to decaying if their pride cannot be regained. For Pure Celestials, this is a death sentence. For hybrids, like Cecilio, it makes them completely human.

  • When a Celestial is overtaken by pride, they become a Corrupted Fallen. Though they retain their strength, they abandon what once fueled them for something more tempting. In their truest form, they take on an unsettling resemblance to Demons with purpling skin and their constellations becoming jagged. No longer able to open portals, they instead teleport across short distances and leave behind afterimages. Though not yet Demons, their nature drifts perilously close. Contact between a Corrupted Fallen and a Demon does not sear but merely sting.

  • A Reignited is a Celestial who has risen from their Fall by reclaiming their pride. Where the Faded must recover their lost purpose and the Corrupted must forge an entirely new one, only a rare few Fallen ever achieve Reignition. These beings are marked with blue-silver patterns, and their touch doesn't burn or sting but brings nostalgia. Through physical contact, they can awaken a cherished memory in any being, recalled through one of the five senses.

Born in Rio de Janeiro to a Mexican–Brazilian Hunter and a Heavenly Maiden who vanished during his early childhood, Cecilio grew up feeling abandoned by his Celestial side. He internalized this absence as a rejection of his humanity, leaving him with a persistent sense of inadequacy.
As a child, while exploring the outskirts of the city, Cecilio discovered an abandoned albino jaguar cub. Naming him Rento, he raised the cub as his constant companion. Over time, Cecilio realized Rento was no ordinary animal—his startling intelligence and ability to use the Honmoon to cling to impossible surfaces marked him as some kind of spirit. In adulthood, Cecilio bought a small beachfront property to give Rento the space and environment he needed.
Raised by his father, Salvador, and mentored by the aging Brazilian Hunter group Gatos Saltando, Cecilio became the only active Hunter of his generation in Brazil. Outside the Hunt, he found unexpected fame as a cover artist, becoming well-known for producing phonk remixes of popular songs—a genre with a strong following in Brazil. Yet he remains terrified of sharing his own original work, convinced he has nothing worth saying without another melody to lean on.
After the events of KPop Demon Hunters, the Honmoon’s presence in Brazil eroded—slowly at first, then collapsing entirely. Cecilio traveled to Seoul to seek HUNTR/X’s aid in ridding Rio de Janeiro of its growing demon infestation.
Upon returning home, he is confronted by the reappearance of his long-lost mother, Hyun Nü—now accompanied by his twin half-brothers, Chivalry and Concord, both full Celestials. They offer him not only a place in their band, LGHTNG RDRZ, but a long-awaited chance to connect with his Celestial family.
Unbeknownst to Cecilio, their true goal is to manipulate him into a Fall and reduce him to nothing more than a puppet in his mother’s hands.

- Celestial Traits: Though outwardly human, Cecilio’s Celestial blood manifests as grey-blue skin, golden constellation patterns across his skin, literal diamond irises, and hair made of clouds. He can suppress these features, but they never vanish completely. He cannot hide his eyes or fully hide his patterns.
- Heavenly Voice: In moments of strong emotion, his voice fractures into layered harmonies—typically three parts, occasionally five, and rarely seven. This harmonic surge causes the Honmoon to pulse with silver light, amplifying its protective and combative abilities. This ability alone has allowed to just skirt by as a solo Hunter.
- Stardust Portals: By concentrating his divine markings into one limb, Cecilio can punch a hole through space. That limb may reappear anywhere he’s seen and remembered clearly enough to calculate space accurately. To stabilize the destination, the limb must make contact with a surface, not a physical being.Equipment:
- Enchanted Bandana: A golden silk cloth gifted by his mother—resistant to flame, tearing, and cutting.
- Honmoon Macuahuitl (maw-KWA-hee-tul): A two-handed club-sword crafted from wood, crystal, and gold. Although most macuahuitls are about the size of a long sword, Cecilio's possesses a greatswords proportions. The weapon is as big as him.Weaknesses:
- Struggles with insomnia.
- Cannot manipulate or stand on the Honmoon like Pure Celestials can.
- Deep fear of rejection, especially around original creative work.
- His powers fluctuate depending on his emotional state and confidence.
- Struggles with being a solo Hunter—team synergy is crucial for stability.

〔 HEADCANONS 〕

  1. The Honmoon is a global phenomenon. Different cultures call it different names, but its function of blocking off the Demon Realm and providing power to Hunters remains the same. Hunters exist all around the world, with at least one trio active in six of the seven continents.

  2. Demons adapt their behaviors and appearances to the beliefs and folklore of the area they enter. The Demons of Brazil look and behave differently from the Demons of Korea

  3. When the original Honmoon collapsed (as seen in K-Pop Demon Hunters), the effects didn’t hit everywhere once. The New Honmoon is slow to expand outside of Korea, some places, like Brazil, haven’t been reached yet.

  4. Jinu isn’t dead nor is he exactly alive. His spirit lingers within Rumi and her blade. He shows up as little whispers in the back of her head, he speaks directly to her in her dreams. Sometimes he is a voice of wisdom, sometimes a voice of shame but its always motivated by his concern and love for Rumi.

  5. Gwi-Ma particularly enjoys the souls of Hunters, claiming they have a unique taste.
