〔 CELESTIALS 〕

are the cosmic counterparts of Demons. They are so opposite in nature that direct skin-to-skin contact between a Celestial & a Demon causes burns ranging from mild to severe depending on duration. Being submerged or covered in a liquid, such as water, can reduce the effect to a prickling tingle. These “angels” are rare but powerful immortals who embody natural forces such as storms, light, or even abstract concepts like abundance. In their true state they are incomprehensible & incorporeal, but they often take on humanoid or animal guises to walk among mortals. Countless aspects of creation are expressed in their plumage or pelage: Storm Celestials may bear manes of clouds, while Light Celestials blaze with radiant crowns of hair.Celestials are most renowned for their ability to harmonize with three to seven voices at once. This grants them extraordinary precision in shaping the Honmoon, which they can treat as if it were a tangible substance. They are also exceptionally skilled at repairing & re-energizing the Honmoon with silver light. Although they did not create the barrier over the human world, they have adapted to it with ease.To remain tethered to the heavens, Celestials must actively nurture their 𝐏𝐔𝐑𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐄—they must take pride in something. Not as arrogance, but as passion & genuineness. Dignity, honor & esteem are part of maintaining a Purpose, but what truly matters is living one’s truth with conviction. Many describe it as walking a never-ending tightrope. It is a balance: if pride dwindles into shame, a Celestial Fades. If pride swells unchecked into corruption—whether envy, hubris, or obsession—they Fall. Both fates bring immense physical & emotional pain, often compared to losing a limb or organ.

Despite their variety of guises, Celestials always share certain traits. Their skin is bluish, ranging from pale sky to deep midnight, & marked with golden constellations. The patterns on their backs always resemble wings, which allow them to walk upon the Honmoon and pierce space itself. Their irises are made of a solid, glossy substance—gemstones, metals, stained glass, or stranger materials.

Faded Cecilio by Alkahesyt

Faded are Celestials who have lost their pride or sunk into deep shame. They lose most of their abilities & are trapped in their current guise. Their constellations fracture into scars they cannot conceal, & all other Celestial features vanish. Faded & Demons do not burn upon contact.

Fallen Cecilio by Alkahesyt

Fallen are Celestials whose pride has consumed them or warped into corruption. Their wings and irises shatter, their constellations twist into gnarled violet marks, and their skin darkens to purple as fangs and claws emerge. Though they can no longer walk upon the Honmoon or create portals, they gain the ability to form stardust copies of themselves which they can instantly swap places with. A Fallen touching a Demon causes a sharp, persistent sting.

Both Faded & Fallen are severed from the heavens and must feed on the pride of others to survive. Though feeding does not kill, it drains victims of vitality; a complete drain strips them of all passion, leaving them unable to enjoy anything. For Hunters, this can be a death sentence, robbing them of the ability to create new music. Fresh Fallen are ravenous to the point of near-madness, initially warping the Honmoon with demonic effects until they gradually regain their original influence. A Faded who refuses to feed eventually ceases to exist, while a Fallen who starves slowly devolves into a Demon.

Reignited Cecilio by Alkahesyt

Reignited are Fallen or Faded who abandon pride for humility. Reignition requires realizing that the Honmoon is not to be controlled but attuned to, & that their role is guidance rather than dominion. Reignited Celestials bear iridescent constellations, gain a significant power boost & can regenerate so long as their guise’s brain remains intact. Their touch no longer burns. Instead, it radiates warmth & peace, stirring feelings of nostalgia in all beings. Contact may even awaken cherished memories.

Though they share similar goals, Celestials & Hunters diverge in outlook. Hunters are mortals who adapt & evolve across generations. Celestials, by contrast, are anchored by their pride & thus often resistant to change. This difference has strained their relationship, especially in the wake of the Honmoon’s collapse & renewal after the events of KPop Demon Hunters. The upheaval caused massive uproar in the Celestial community, & tensions with Hunters remain higher than ever.

Celestial Hybrids, also called “Nephilim,” are exceedingly rare. Unlike their pureblood kin, they cannot take incorporeal form and instead inherit the guise of their mortal parent. Their heightened physicality causes them to grow larger and stronger than their lineage would normally allow. Their wings and voices remain underdeveloped, leaving them unable to walk the Honmoon or wield it with full Celestial finesse—though they can still manipulate it and open portals.Hybrids cannot conceal their unnatural eyes, and they possess little control over their semi-angelic guises. Reignited Nephilim, however, manifest fully developed wings and voices.

BACKGROUND:

Cecilio was born in Rio de Janeiro, the son of Salvador Caçador — a Mexican-Brazilian Hunter & frontman of the power metal band Gatos Saltando — & Hyun Nü, a Heavenly Maiden (one of the oldest & most powerful types of Celestials). When Cece was still a toddler, Hyun abandoned the family to return to the Heavens. To Cecilio, it felt like rejection: that she had left because he was too human. Salvador, drowning in grief, leaned on his bandmates to help raise his son, especially Abrahan Santanos. Where Salvador drove Cece with relentless discipline to become a Hunter, Abrahan balanced training with patience, care, & insight. As a Nephilim, Cecilio grew taller & stronger than his peers, leaving him feeling like an outsider. He found refuge in Rio’s streets & rooftops, honing freerunning & parkour. On one of these wanderings, he discovered an abandoned albino jaguar cub on the city’s outskirts. Seeing his own loneliness reflected in the animal, he adopted it despite his father’s protests, naming the cub Rento — a companion who never left his side.Adulthood brought Cecilio recognition as a cover artist, blending phonk & symphonic metal into remixes that built him an online following. When Abrahan retired from Gatos Saltando, he became Cece’s manager to guide him through the spotlight. Success allowed Cece to buy a secluded beachfront home where Rento could roam freely. Yet behind the fame, he carried the weight of being Brazil’s only active Hunter of his generation. Terrified of destabilizing Brazil’s fragile Honmoon — the 𝓟𝙊𝙍𝙏𝘼 𝘿𝙀 𝓐𝙇𝙈𝘼 — he refused to release original music, fearing potential rejection from the fans could unravel it.After the events of KPop Demon Hunters, the Porta began to wither without the original Honmoon. Demons flooded Rio, forcing Cecilio to leave the city in the care of Gatos Saltando while he sought answers in Seoul. There, he crossed paths with HUNTR/X & asked for their help in cleansing Brazil. When he returned, he found his mentors missing — & his estranged mother waiting. Hyun had come back with his twin half-brothers, Chivalry & Concord: full Celestials & frontmen of the rising band LGHTNG RDRZ. They offered him a place in their ranks & the chance to connect with the family he had long yearned for. But their true purpose was darker: to use him for Hyun’s plans & push him toward a Fall.

BY DEFAULT, INTERACTIONS WILL BE WITH STANDARD CECE!

POWERS:

STANDARD

  • Honmoon Manipulation: Cecilio, like all Hunters, can harness his own energy or the energy of his fans to conjure items primarily a massive macuahuitl & attack with soul energy.

  • Spirit Vision: Cecilio's Hunter training allows him to see & comprehend supernatural phenomena.

  • Self Disguise: Cecilio can freely swap between his normal and semi-angelic appearances.

  • Celestial Patterns: As a Nephilim, Cecilio bears golden constellations that spread or shrink with his emotions. Normally he wields some control over these patterns but they become unmanageable when he's close to Fading or Falling.

  • Heavenly Voice: His voice can expand into a three part harmony that causes the Honmoon to pulse silver. This ability allows him to repair the Honmoon on his own & it just barely allows him to operate as a solo Hunter.

  • Stardust Portals: By shifting his patterns into a single limb, Cecilio can punch a shimmering hole in space to any location he has visited in the past & can remember accurately. These portals of stardust remain unstable until he touches an object or surface in the new location. People do not count as they are mobile and independent entities.

  • Minor Electrokinesis: Cece can control small amounts of electricity through simple hand gestures. While not strong enough to summon lightning or directly electrocute someone, it can deliver numbing shocks or spark electrical fires. He primarily uses this ability to jump-start, manipulate, or short out electronics, as well as sense and redirect nearby currents.

FALLEN

  • Demonic Voice: Upon Falling, Cecilio's Heavenly Voice becomes unstable & damages the Honmoon due to his mental state. After some time to adjust, he can regain his Heavenly Voice.

  • Stardust Copies: Cece loses the ability to make portals yet gains the ability to form up to five exact duplicates of himself. These clones can move, speak, think & even fight normally but they fade into stardust if hit hard enough. Cece can instantly swap places with any one of these clones at will.

  • Fallen Patterns: Cece's constellation patterns become warped and a deep, demonic purple. They glow magenta when excited or feeding.

  • Energy Drain: By grabbing someone & opening his mouth, Cecilio can feast upon the energy & passion of a person. He must do this to survive but can also use it to cripple others.

REIGNITED

  • Improved Heavenly Voice: Cecilio can now expand his voice into five & sometimes seven parts, allowing him to be even more effective at repairing the Honmoon.

  • Improved Stardust Portals: Cecilio no longer needs to have been to a place to portal there, now he just needs to be able to visualize it. Any place he can imagine is now within his reach.

  • Reignited Patterns: His patterns return to their original state but now shimmer with a pale opalescence. Different colors become more saturated based on his emotions.

  • Celestial Regeneration: Cecilio can now rapidly recover from any minor or fatal injury so long as his brain remains in tact. This process can take anywhere from a couple seconds to a few minutes.

EQUIPMENT:

  • Enchanted Bandana: A golden silk cloth gifted by his mother. Resistant to flame, tearing, and cutting, it serves as surprisingly effective head armor. Cece often asks his role models to sign it.

  • Honmoon Macuahuitl (maw-KWA-hee-tul): Two-handed club-sword made from wood, crystal, and gold. While most macuahuitls measure between 1.6 and 4 feet (0.5–1.2 m), Cecilio’s is as tall as he is, shaped with the proportions of a greatsword. Despite its massive size, he wields it effortlessly & can summon or dismiss it at will.

  • Green Zero SR/F: A sleek, all-electric motorcycle gifted to Cece by his father. Silent yet powerful, it can up to 124 mph (200 km/h) & travel up to 187 miles (301 km) on a single charge.

WEAKNESSES:

  • People Pleaser: Easily manipulated by approval or guilt.

  • Overworked: Struggles to balance the demands of being Brazil’s only active Hunter with his work & social lives.

  • Insomnia: Restless nights leave him drained and unfocused.

  • Perfectionist: Deep fear of rejection keeps him from creating original work.

  • Limited Honmoon Control: Can’t treat the Honmoon as a physical substance unless Reignited.

  • Demonic Contact: Harmed by a Demon’s touch unless Faded or Reignited.

  • Nephilim’s Metabolism: Burns energy quickly and must eat often to stay functional. This limits how much he can use his powers & forces him to carry around snacks.

〔 SUB MUSES 〕

  • Rento: Cecilio's faithful pet jaguar. White fur, grey spots, lavender eyes. Displays surprising intelligence, being able to understand speech and solve reasoning puzzles. Has the ability to use the Honmoon to cling to impossible surfaces. Suspected to be some kind of spirit. Friendly & playful to most.

  • Abrahan Santanos: Cecilio's adoptive uncle & mentor. Thin, bald black man in a suit, older Hunter wielding a warhammer as his Honmoon weapon. Quiet, reserved & disciplined yet patient, kind & constantly professional.

  • Hyun Nü: Cecilio's estranged mother. Korean woman with long, dark hair in a gold dress. An ancient Celestial who has grown vain, vindictive, and dangerously manipulative. Charming on the surface but utterly ruthless beneath, she will exploit her own children and put others in harm’s way to achieve her goals.

  • Chivalry Nü: Cecilio's older half-brother. Korean-Brazilian man with short dark hair. Walking red flag who expertly gaslights you into thinking he goes above & beyond for you when he barely crosses the bar.

  • Concord Nü: Cecilio's older half-brother. Korean-Brazilian man with long bleached blond hair in a bun. Complete chaos goblin & instigator. Definitely the type to have a YouTube prank channel.

  • Mavity “Mav” Annaka: A Gravity Celestial, Hyun's chosen suitor for Cecilio. Short black woman whose hair is a literal black hole. Warm, pragmatic, and surprisingly grounded despite her cosmic nature. She genuinely wants the best for Cecilio, even if her methods sometimes clash with his independence.

BRAZILIAN DEMONS

Not necessarily individual characters but enemies to encounter.

  • Curupira: Small hairy men with backward feet—they lead people into the woods, and they never come back.

  • Headless Mule: Equine corpses that breathe the fire of Gwi-Ma out their neck stump and tail, their neck flames often take the shape of a screaming woman's upper body.

  • Hag: Eerie cloaked women singing lullabies just sweet enough to lure kids into the dark.

  • Chupacabra: Lizard-dog things that can crawl in and out of surfaces. They eat livestock mostly but they’ll take people if they’re hungry enough.

  • Capelobo: Six foot bipedal anteaters with massive clawed hands, they are known for attacking mortals directly and aggressively.

  • Saci: A tall black man in a long red cap who's missing a leg but walks as if he has two. He's a trickster that's often seen standing in the eye of a dirt devil. He is Gwi-Ma's avatar in Brazil.

〔 HEADCANONS 〕

  1. The Honmoon is a global phenomenon. Different cultures call it different names, (Brazil calls it the 𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐀 𝐃𝐄 𝐀𝐋𝐌𝐀, meaning "spirit door") but its function of blocking off the Demon Realm & providing power to Hunters remains the same. Hunters exist all around the world, with at least one trio active in six of the seven continents.

  2. When the original Honmoon collapsed, as seen in K-Pop Demon Hunters, the effects didn’t hit everywhere once. The 𝓝𝓮𝔀 𝓗𝓸𝓷𝓶𝓸𝓸𝓷 is slow to expand outside of Korea; some places, like Brazil, haven’t been reached yet.

  3. The Honmoon has a similar effect to the Mist in Percy Jackson but not nearly to the same degree. It obscures the supernatural from human eyes, yet particularly strong or persistent minds can see past the illusions.

  4. Jinu isn’t dead nor is he exactly alive. His spirit lingers within Rumi & her blade. He shows up as little whispers in the back of her head, he speaks directly to her in dreams. Sometimes he is a voice of wisdom, sometimes a voice of shame but its always motivated by his ᴄᴏɴᴄᴇʀɴ & ʟᴏᴠᴇ for Rumi.

  5. Gwi-Ma particularly enjoys the souls of Hunters, claiming they have a unique taste.

  6. Demons adapt their behaviors and appearances to the beliefs and folklore of the area they enter. The Demons of Brazil look and behave differently from the Demons of Korea
